The downtown Azaleas will soon be blooming! This season is a favorite around here because the weather is mild (an average temperature in the low 70’s), and all of our downtown parks are luscious and green. And, with that in mind, we’ve put together a list of some of Cora Bett’s favorite springtime activities in Savannah.

Savannah Stop Over Festival:

Savannah Stopover Music Festival capitalizes on the logistical good fortune of Savannah, Georgia’s proximity to interstates 95 and 10 by presenting traveling musicians with a welcoming place to play en route to Austin’s prestigious SXSW Music Conference.

The small, vibrant coastal community is rife with a unique brand of low country hospitality and southern gothic ambiance, not to mention home to a burgeoning music scene, music-hungry demographic, and an established arts community. St. Patricks Day in Savannah:

The Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest in America. Rooted in Irish heritages, families from Savannah and abroad march to the beat of bag pipes playing, Irish dancers performing and members of our military being greeted by red-lipped ladies. We’re excited that the St. Patrick’s Day parade is back and we expect it to be better than ever!

Savannah Music Festival:

For over 30 years, this annual 17-day festival is Georgia’s largest musical arts event. In fact, it brings nearly 500 artists from all over the globe to Savannah each year! The crowds come from across the nation and around the world. The sounds are varied, the classes abundant and the artists plenty.

The Club Car Championship

The Club Car Championship at The Landings Club, formerly known as the Savannah Golf Championship, is contested annually on the Deer Creek Course at The Landings Club. The tournament is a part of the Korn Ferry Tour Schedule and is a four-day, 72-hole, stroke-play competition with a total purse of $750,000.
